Every year, approximately 100,000 children under 15 die from cancer worldwide. That’s almost 250 children a day – a startling statistic given that about 80% of childhood cancers are potentially curable with existing treatments. Too many children are dying from cancer.
Childhood Cancer is often placed in the same category as Adult Cancer, but it is important to note that there is a vast difference between Childhood Cancer and Adult Cancer; because children are still subject to growth spurts within a short period of time, this may result in the cancer spreading faster and more aggressively.
